SS Great Eastern Postcard
Launched in 1858, the Great Eastern was Brunel's final project and the largest of his three ships (standing at 211 metres long). She may not have succeeded as an ocean liner, but she did lay the first cables between the UK and America. An excellent choice for a high-quality postcard.
Produced locally in Bristol by Mockingbird Press on 100% recycled card.
These drawings are taken from Brunel's sketchbooks. They show the huge range of his work, from building record-breaking ships like the SS Great Eastern to designing bridges, railways and even carriages and locomotives.
